Cable ties removed

Well, turned the boat over for the first time today. It has a nice bottom ;-) Took all the cable ties out which was a bit of a nervous moment: had visions of it all falling apart without them!! Fortunately it stayed together, spent the rest of the day filling all the joints with epoxy filler (very sticky stuff!!!)

The sanding begins tomorrow

Wow, what progress!
I would give it 9/10 at least. Well done.

your Prospector is looking good, thanks for linking to my blog and I hope that you can learn from my mistakes! I would urge you avoid having to paint the inside or outside, it takes a lot of extra time and money and its difficult to get a good result, try to make your external tapes neat (if using them) and go for a coat of epoxy followed by varnish, the pictures of my paint job make it look much better than it actually is.
i can now say that i am not the only person I know that has build a boat in a tent! your tent is exactly right for the job, I tried to get hold of one in the sales, I will look on ebay for one for my next build. If you resin overnight think about a 2kw fan heater plugged into an extension lead with an online room stat, works a treat for keeping the space at room temp and you wont have to leave the patio heaters on. Good luck and I will look in on your blog with interest.

another site worth looking at is "Song Of The Paddle"

Cheers for your comments. The 6x4m tent is ideal for boat building. I have only been using the patio heaters during the day when i'm about. Using a 1kw electric fan heater evernight.

Song of the paddle link is good
